Background:
It has come to our attention that an active email phishing campaign is targeting some of our TVU partners, with emails that appear to be from the TVU Networks Finance team.
Emails have been received from an address appearing as 'accounting@tvunetworks.com' however when replied to, the return email address is actually "invoicepayment@concealed.company"
These emails have a subject line of DUE DATE NOTICE and the email proactively solicits account and invoice information. TVU will never need to request this information from you.
Finally the messages are signed by ‘Paul Masinger ph.D’ who is fictional and has never been a TVU employee.
The emails are part of a wider targeted phishing campaign that has been an issue for many years. Some helpful protective tips can be found here .
Actions to take:
If you receive a suspicious email from TVU or anyone else, please ignore it. If you have any questions or concerns at all about communications from TVU please reach out to your sales representative or contact our security team at security@tvunetworks.com
